An image or event can be interpreted in many ways. It is for the viewer to sift through the layers of evidence and discover which path their imagination will take them along.

Are Rear Window and In the House concerned with murder, paranoia, fantasy or merely observations of daily life? Are we observing characters or are they fixing us with a knowing gaze?

Games involve sportsmanship, cheating, hoaxes and judgement with fun and deception thrown in for good measure.

Characters present themselves for Portraits but do we learn more about the sitters or the artists or ourselves?

Who is making the Observations, are we under scrutiny as well?

After the mundane responses of the five senses the Sixth Sense finally allows imagination an interpretive role.
